Diablo 4 Season 2, titled Season Of Blood, is set to begin on October 17th. The new season brings some quality of life changes that sound quite appealing. Firstly, your inventory will no longer be cluttered with billions of gems. Season Of Blood also allows you to select specific unique and uber unique items as a farmer, considering the importance of unique items for character builds, which is a popular feature.
Under the command of the Dark Master, a new army composed of greedy vampires sets its sights on the sanctuary, as stated in Blizzard's announcement blog post. The sinister plot of the Master remains a mystery, but their pursuit of innocent blood has stirred up a storm. You must learn to hunt as the hunter—your fate depends on it.
This effectively means new quest lines, some form of new vampire powers, and five new endgame bosses that are a mix of new and returning villains. Blizzard also states that we will be able to have specific unique and uber unique items as drops. Given the trashy low-level rolls on my various wizards' crucial unique skills, that would be great. Maybe I'll even get to see Uber Uniques.
In a way, the quality of life updates is what excites me the most. Gems will no longer take up inventory space, which is highly welcome considering they seem to have occupied half of mine. I know I should stop picking them all up, though. We'll also have the ability to search and filter collections, for similar reasons, I welcome this.
Blizzard also mentioned changes to status effect mechanics like Frailty, Empower, Crit Damage, and Elemental Resistance, though no specifics were provided, so I'm not sure how to interpret that. Reputation rewards such as Paragon Points, Skill Points, Potion Charges, and Obol capacity upgrades will carry over into the new season.
The current season feels more like Diablo 4 didn't quite address the very shiny and engaging issues of Diablo 4, but lacks long-term appeal. What's worse is that Diablo 4 only starts to become an interesting challenge on Nightmare difficulty, where you need to be around level 45 to enter. Then comes Torment difficulty, where the world is filled with dreadful monsters with extra abilities, requiring tactics, caution, and attention in almost every battle.
But getting there takes a lot of effort, and the journey is so uninteresting that by the time you arrive, the enthusiasm is extinguished. However, you can also bypass this tedious farming work by directly purchasing Cheap Diablo 4 Items from reliable vendors, thereby enjoying the thrilling moments of the game and saving a lot of time and energy.
