Driving Methods of Tower Crane Trolleys
There are primarily three driving methods for tower crane trolleys: electric, hydraulic, and manual.
- Electric DriveIn the electric drive method, the tower crane trolley's tires or chains are driven by an electric motor. This method is commonly used for smaller tower crane trolleys. It offers advantages such as convenience, smooth operation, and simple operation, but the cost is relatively high.
- Hydraulic DriveThe hydraulic drive method uses a hydraulic cylinder to drive the tower crane trolley through hydraulic oil pressure. This method has advantages such as compact structure, small size, and high efficiency, but it requires a hydraulic system and the hydraulic system has poor adaptability in high and low temperature environments.
- Manual DriveIn the manual drive method, the tower crane trolley is driven by manually pulling a rope or chain. This method is simple to operate but has low efficiency and is only suitable for small tower crane trolleys or emergency use in case of power failure.
In actual use, different construction sites will choose different driving methods according to specific conditions. Regardless of the driving method, it is necessary to operate it by professionals to ensure safe and efficient use.
