For those of you who have been playing New World since its release in late September, it's likely that you've already begun your journey through the game's leveling system in order to reach the highest possible level. When dealing with higher-level content, particularly when it comes to Expeditions, it will be absolutely necessary to have a tank in your party. It is critical for your party's ability to complete missions successfully, as well as your own survival, that you choose the weapons and attributes that you level up while playing as a tank.
It is ultimately up to you to decide what weapons and attributes you want to use based on your own personal, party, or company requirements. However, given the game's most recent updates and the direction in which it is currently heading, having at least one tank player in your party is almost a requirement.
a sword and shield/a great axe (if one is available)
1. For most of the game's history, this tank build has been one of the most popular options, and it is particularly effective in PvP
2. As a secondary weapon, the Great Axe can deal massive amounts of damage in a short period of time, which comes in handy when you're ambushed by other PvP players on the battlefield of Azeroth
3. While the Sword and Shield is a well-balanced defensive option as your primary, using the Great Axe as your secondary will allow you to deal massive amounts of damage in a short period of time, which comes in handy when you're ambushed by other PvThis build can be extremely effective in PvE as well, if you use a different ability mastery tree for your secondary Great Axe
Both Constitution and Strength are essential for this build, and neither can be overlooked. Your character's health and defense abilities should be checked first, and then his or her strength should be checked. Make sure to equip Heavy Armor and to spec into these two attributes in order to get the most out of the capabilities of your weapons with New World gold.
When it comes to the sword, progressing through the Defender Mastery tree will grant you access to the abilities Shield Bash, Shield Rush, and Defiant Stance, among others. Furthermore, if you choose to use the first two, you will be able to deal 50% of weapon damage and knock foes back with a damage rush forward if you use them. You will be able to mitigate 30 percent of incoming damage with your third ability, Defiant Stance, which you will learn later in the game. In the event that you have a Carnelian on your sword, both Defiant Stance and Shield Bash will taunt any nearby enemies who are within range if you have the ability.
Charge, Reap, and Execute are the three abilities that can be obtained for the great axe by progressing through the Reaper Mastery branch of the tree of knowledge. The Axe will deal 120 percent of its weapon damage when attacked, and Reaping will extend your Axe approximately 5 meters in order to draw enemies towards you. Execute is a powerful attack that deals 200 percent of the damage dealt by your weapon, and even more if the target is in poor condition.
(a sword and a shield) Hachette (a sword and a shield)
The primary weapons are the sword and the shield.
The hatchet is considered a secondary weapon.
Characteristics include constitution and physical strength.
It is possible that pairing the hatchet as your secondary weapon will be a better fit for your needs if you are seeking a more lightweight alternative to the sword and shield/great axe build. The hatchet, as one of the most versatile weapons in the game and because of its light weight, allows you to track down and eliminate other PvP players before they have a chance to flee the battlefield.
It has already been stated that the most important attributes in this situation are strength and constitution; if you can obtain armor that grants you a threat perk, you'll be that much more tanky as a result of having it.
Capabilities are a collection of skills that can be acquired over time.
The Defender skill tree is the one that must be mastered in order to wield the sword once more in the game. Picking up a Berserker tree, which unlocks Berserk, Raging Torment, and Feral Rush, increases your chances of obtaining the hatchet the highest possible amount. A vital skill for this weapon because it increases your damage output for 12 seconds while you are in a rage, making it an extremely effective weapon. The combination of mastering that ability and On The Hunt will provide you with even greater movement speed, which is ideal for PvP battles. If you want your attacks to be impenetrable to interruptions while they're in progress, you'll also need Uninterruptible Berserk to do so. When it comes to dealing the most amount of damage possible, Raging Torment and Feral Rush are both excellent options to consider. In the first, you will dash forward and hit your opponent with four quick attacks that will deal 90 percent of the damage, whereas in the second, you will dash forward and hit your opponent with two separate attacks that will deal 115 percent and 130 percent of the total damage, respectively. When your health is zero, you can use the Defy Death ability to prevent death for three seconds, which can be extremely useful when you're in a tight spot.
The war hammer/great axe is a type of weapon that is used in combat.
The war hammer is the most important weapon.
The great axe is a secondary weapon that is used in battle.
Characteristics include constitution and physical strength.
For those seeking a tanky playstyle that is also suitable for PvE situations, this build, also known as the Disabler Tank, is an excellent choice. These are two of the heaviest, heaviest, and most tanky weapons you can find in New World, and they are also the most powerful. Combining their abilities results in a devastating attack strength and unparalleled crowd control capabilities. What is the disadvantage? With only average HP and a lack of evasive and defensive abilities, this build is best suited for experienced players who are willing to take a chance on those two features that are absolutely necessary for new MMO players.
When it comes to this tank design, strength and constitution are the most important characteristics to consider, and Heavy Armor will be the best option for this weapon combination, as is the case with most tank designs overall.
Capabilities are a collection of skills that can be acquired over time.
Clear Out, Shockwave, and Path of Destiny are the three abilities that will allow you to unleash the full potential of your war hammer. Use them in conjunction with one another to maximize your effectiveness. These abilities will work in conjunction with your crowd control abilities and will allow your teammates to deal more damage to enemies by keeping them under the influence of crowd control effects for a longer period of time. If your opponents have lower Constitution than you, you should equip yourself with defensive gear that will complement the higher lifesteal damage of your weapons and help you to compensate for the lower Constitution of your opponents.
If you want to use your great axe effectively, you'll need to be able to reap and execute, which are both active skills. A powerful attack that deals 200 percent of your weapon damage (300 percent if your enemies have less than 50 percent health) and pulls enemies towards you will be unleashed if you choose the first option.
The saber and shield of a warrior, as well as the War Hammer
The primary weapons are the sword and the shield.
The war hammer is considered a secondary weapon.
Its characteristics of strength and constitution are two of its most notable.
With the exception of the secondary weapon, which has been modified slightly, this build is very similar to the Sword and Shield/Great Axe tank build that we discussed previously. It is possible to argue that if the War Hammer is used correctly, even though the Great Axe is more versatile and even though the War Hammer was not the strongest tank weapon when the game first launched, it is one of the best tank builds in the game. The War Hammer, when used as a second weapon, will deal insane amounts of damage while also providing you with the tanky feel you've been craving. You will be able to deal significant amounts of damage while still remaining alive by using this weapon in conjunction with the Sword and Shield.
This means that in this situation, you must allocate all of your attribute points to Strength and Consitution, which is a significant amount of work. It is necessary to have these characteristics in order to complete the majority of tank builds because they will ensure that you can stay alive in difficult situations and serve as the unmovable rock for your entire group of friends.
Capabilities are a collection of skills that can be acquired over time.
You'll need to consider which abilities you want to unlock for the three slots available on each weapon as you level them up further if you want to progress further with each of your weapons as you level them up further.
With the sword and shield, you can build your character to be as tanky as the game allows, which is one of the most balanced and all-around effective options in New World. The combination of these weapons provides an excellent balance between crowd control and personal defense, which makes it one of the most appealing weapon combinations, particularly for new players, to use. For best results, we recommend that you first learn Shield Bash, Defiant Stance, and Reverse Stab before attempting to use this weapon. A few examples of these abilities include the ability to stun enemies for a short period of time, reduce incoming damage, and unleash a special attack that deals 175 percent of the damage dealt by your weapon, to name a few.
